The Railways of Devon and Cornwall V11
24th December 2018 49 By HighSpeedTracksThe Railways of Devon and Cornwall’ version 11
The Railways of Devon and Cornwall (‘RDC’ – originally ‘Devon Rails’) started with DTG’s ‘Riviera Line’ (modern), but has hugely extended it. Version 11 adds detailed scenery from Truro to Redruth, the Falmouth branch (mostly line, stations and signaling only for now), and a number of small corrections and improvements across the route. These include adding the Major Wales GWR IET stop signs at main line stations.
Version 11 has complete scenery:
- From the Devon / Somerset border (Whiteball Tunnel) to Liskeard / Moorswater (in Cornwall)
- From Exeter to Exmouth
- From Exeter to Honiton
- From Crediton to Okehampton and Meldon Quarry (the Dartmoor Railway)
- From Newton Abbot to Paignton (mostly from DTG’s Riviera Line)
- From Paignton to Kingswear (the Paignton & Dartmouth Railway)
- From Plymouth to Gunnislake (the Tamar Valley Line)
- From Liskeard to Looe
- From Par to St Austell / Burngullow
- From Truro to Redruth
- From Hayle to St Erth and St Ives
- For the Penzance area, including Long Rock depot
And line, signalling and stations only for:
- Honiton to Axminster
- Copplestone to Barnstaple
- Totnes to Buckfastleigh (The South Devon Railway)
- The Cornish Main Line from Moorswater to Par and Burngullow to Penzance
- The Falmouth branch
- Whiteball tunnel to Bristol Temple Meads
Going forward we’ll steadily fill in missing detail and new route features. We’re keen to keep everything as up to date as possible, for example we’ve added the new Exeter depot, the planned new stations at Marsh Barton and Okehampton East, and the new sea wall at Dawlish.
We’ve done our best to accurately model the enhanced signaling along the Cornish Main Line. Signal numbering for some of the new equipment is still an educated guess for now.
In due course we’ll add the Plym Valley Railway, the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway, and the rest of the Cornish branches. It will take some time to complete the Railways of Devon and Cornwall, but we’ll get there in the end.

Updating and scenarios from v7.1 or earlier
V11 has the changes to the track at Exeter St David’s and Long Rock depots first released in V8. This disrupts scenarios made for v 7.1 and earlier releases that have stock placed in the EXD depot sidings. If you’re updating from v 7.1 or earlier delete your previous version before you install RDC; that way you won’t get any broken scenarios.
If you developed your own scenarios or edited supplied ones in v7.1 or earlier and want to keep them, save a copy of them before you delete your RDC! You can then put them back in again. If they include consists in the Exeter St David’s and Long Rock depot yards you may need to repair them using the editor. There’s a complete list of supplied scenarios on page 5 below.
There’s a complete list of included scenarios in the installation guide inside the route zip.

Hi has development stopped for this fine route?
Dose anyone know what the requirements are for just the Honiton – Exeter Route?
What would I require just for the Avocet line? (Exeter – Exmouth)
Does anyone have list for required rolling stock for V11, I cannot anything in the Readme’s for required stock
Could you please update the problem on the route at Liskeard where the points are set to go on to the other track which is really annoying and i encounted a signal failure at Plymouth platform 4 other than that the Route is Fantastic
Also could you please update your older scenarios to include the updated stock that we have now which would be greatly appreciated
I Seem to be having Problems with Loading and Unloading Passengers at Crediton Platform 1 Heading towards Exeter St David’s What am I Missing I have all the requirements installed
I have all the requirements but the JT Bristol – Exeter route. I have this route as part of Southwest Expressway and am wondering if this is sufficient.
Probably not – I have all of the the requirements and this route was working correctly (although WIP, it’s excellent) – I then transferred TS2020 to a new PC and some assets had obviously gone missing (i.e a fair few “milk bottles” appeared in various places) – coincidentally I had installed Southwestern Expressways after the transfer and saw no difference. After a bit of delving I couldn’t work out what was wrong (still finding my way round TS-Tools), so contacted the developers with some screenshots. The answer was that the missing assets were from Bristol to Exeter (which I’ve had installed for years), so there must be some corrupted files – B to E was uninstalled, reinstalled and the problem was solved. Having said that, for me the route was driveable and mostly looked fine (except for the milk bottles, which bugged me), so possibly download and try it, if you have the same missing assets as I did or worse, but like the route, then maybe look at buying B to E.
Thanks for that. I ended up buying B & E for something else, so now have it and RDC works fine.
I can sometimes not open the doors on some stations, like Plymouth Plattform 7 , Exeter St. Davids Plattform 1, …
Having the same issues as above. Platform locations seem off
I have Bristol to Exeter by Just trains but through steam will this cause a problem?
There Exactly the same it wont Cause any issues on the route
what is required if I just wanted the looe valley line section of the route. thank you.
I would like to report a missing bridge just north of Keyham station.
Lat: 50.39153, Long: -4.18077
Tile: -000045-000037
Other than that the route is absolutely fantastic, thank you for all the hard work.
This route is very good but I can’t get into my UK Train Sim account any way to get in?
contact them
I don’t have the tamar bridge showing. Why is this?
Is your detail level on a low setting?
I’m missing Plymouth station platforms and track, and also have no scenery between Bristol temple meads and Exeter St David’s
I am also having this issue, not sure what’s required for it
There is currently no scenery between Whiteball Tunnel and Bristol. You require Riviera in the Fifties for the track at Exeter and Plymouth, also ensure that your scenery density is turned up to full.
I think the Bristol to Exeter Route by Just Trains, because this is the only route I don’t own. Do you have this Route?
Yeah the station plattform are missing on my game. However the track is their.
You need the Exeter to Barnstable Route for the Plattforms.
its only got scenery as far as Whiteball tunnel. onwards to Bristol is just stations, signals and that’s it. it does say in write up. lol
