Summary
A 50-minute scenario for the brilliant Peterborough to Cambridge route from Alan Thomson Sim.
This was the first railtour operated by NENTA following a change of stock-providers, to DRS and Riviera Trains. Drive the outwards leg between Ely and Peterborough. It’s only just past 0600 but this train is already over two hours into its marathon day out, which will see it arrive back in Norwich after midnight. You begin waiting your booked platform at Ely. Once on the move you will be making pick-ups at Ely, March, and Peterborough. You will then hand over to another driver. Maximum speed for this train is 100mph. There is a 20mph emergency speed restriction just north of Ely station, and a 30mph temporary speed restriction about one mile before Manea station.
