[UPDATED] Ravenscraig steel (1990) – 0C21 Warrington Bank Quay – Crewe Down Holding Sidings [Part 2]
16th November 2023Updated 17/11-23 to fix faulty routing at Hartford Junction.
The two ACs will split ways here at Warrington. 86401 will be stabled here at the dock siding waiting for 37712 to take the steel empties back north later tonight. Meanwhile, you will drive 87029 down to Crewe where the loco will be stabled for its next duty. Expect slow line running to let a Glasgow express pass.
In 1990, it was still common for the WCML ACs to switch roles between freight and passenger workings regularly. Tonight, 87029 will either work a freightliner from Crewe Basford Hall, or be sent to Lime Street or Piccadilly for a south bound passenger service.
40 minute scenario for the ATS Midlands & North West route v4. Weather: Fair cloud/Showers. Feedback is much appreciated. Hope you enjoy! 😊

Had an issue with this one. It went as follows: signal WD252 did not hold me waiting for the Glasgow train, intead it gave me clear path to the Northwich branch 🙁
Hmm didnt experience that in testing. Do you mean your signal showed green while the glasgow train went as well?
More precisely it behaved like it had approach control, but yes basically it rightfully showed green because the path was set for Northwich.
Maybe this is one of these situations where you have to set a stopping point at the red signal to help TS calculate the right pathing.
Updating the scenario now
I can confirm your fix worked. Nice action on arrival at Crewe, well done!
Just so you know, the last two signals into the Crewe siding have to be tabbed.
Same issue here…
