Thank you to Clowes for pretty much everything!
Thank you to James Ivell for allowing the use of his array of child objects for the Mk3 coaches! (Detailed info on these is in the Credits section of the manual)
Hello
I am trying to install using the batch file but am having trouble getting it to work. I have followed the instructions outlined in the manual and have even tried some of the other methods outlined above to try and get it to work (using windows powershell and command window etc), but I am having no success. I have checked many times that the full contents of the “1” folder have all been extracted to the railworks folder, and not the assets folder, but this is not making any difference. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks 🙂
The Recent sound update to the Mk2 packs has broken the sounds on the virgin mk2s with the pack installed.
Silly question but I’ve installed the pack as per the readme instructions but I can’t find any quick drive consists for this pack in the menu? Unsure if I’ve done something wrong but any help appreciated..
Due to the huge number of variations in loco/DVT and rake size there are no QD consists included (there’d probably be over 100 combinations). There are however fragments for the coach rakes. This allows you to plonk a rake down in the editor, then top and tail it with whatever you want.
Thanks Clowes, for some reason I thought there were but never mind. Thanks again!
Good evening,
I’ve recently been running this fantastic pack which appears to be working correctly apart from the MK2s have a Virgin Logo on top of another virgin logo just offset slightly.
Is this a common issue or have I just slipped up somewhere ?
Jamie
*Edit* I’ve reinstalled the pack and all is good 🙂
hi i got a problem with the ap mk3a carriages not showing up in the game
was this been updated?
Just an edit to the description, the pack is unchanged.
Would using this cause issues if you already have the AP class 90 DVT and AP class 86 enhancement installed?
No, as it requires both of them.
For those having trouble with the batch file:
[Reminder – the *contents* of the ‘1’ folder in the archive need to be placed into your Railworks folder, overwriting where prompted; don’t put the ‘1’ folder itself in there.]
At first attempt I thought I’d go ‘belt & braces’ and right-clicked the batch file to ‘run as Administrator’ – it didn’t like that at all, nothing copied/modified and a red screen of death to finish.
Second time around, I right-clicked in the white space in the Explorer/My Computer view, while HOLDING SHIFT, and clicked ‘Open command window here’, at that prompt, type “Bodge It VT LH.bat” [including the quote marks!] and press enter. (Or you can type bodge and press which should auto-complete it, then press enter.)
The Magic-o-Matic 5000 then did its stuff without a hitch and I got a nice green finish 🙂
Your mileage may vary.
Heh – what the comment gadget must’ve thought was HTML stripped from my reply…
*you can type bodge and press -tab- which should auto-complete
What if you’ve got the VP Virgin 90 and 86 packs installed along with this? Would this cause problems for the preloads/consists?
yes i think they will bite each other,i like the pack, but it wil overwrite other essential files needed by the other Packs. Its one ore the other 😉
I’ll be honest I have no idea!
I’ve been experiencing issues where when I attempt to run the batch file it just comes up with a “failed to find directory blah blah” even though I have all the requirements that were listed.
I’m getting the same mate
Are you definitely running the batch file from the correct place, your Railworks (not Assets) folder?
In order to utilise a piece of software it must be run from this location.
I’ve been experiencing issues where when I attempt to run the batch file it just comes up with a “failed to find directory on all and I have all the requirements
As I said to Aaz and J L: “Are you definitely running the batch file from the correct place, your Railworks (not Assets) folder?”
even tried to install it with the sim installer still not finding the directory has got me baffled but that’s train simulator all over haha got a mind of its own
The ATS Installer is unlikely to work with this due to the complexity and location of the batch file in question. As I said in my last comment, “Are you definitely running the batch file from the correct place, your Railworks (not Assets) folder?” This is the fundamental question in getting the pack to install correctly.
