East Midlands Railway Scenario Pack
13th April 2023Update 1.01: Removed a reskin that was used unintentionally
This pack contains five scenarios that depict a variety of EMR services set in 2023, using Just Trains’ Midland Mainline route and its various extensions.
Scenarios included:
• 1L09 Liverpool Lime Street to Norwich – Class 158, 110 minutes
• 2L57 Leicester to Lincoln Central Part 1 – Class 156, 60 minutes
• 2L57 Leicester to Lincoln Central Part 2 – Class 156, 60 minutes
• 1C83 Sheffield to St Pancras International – Class 222, 60 minutes
• 2A10 Nottingham to Matlock – Class 170, 80 minutes
Routes used:
• Just Trains Midland Mainline: Sheffield to Derby
• Erewash Valley extension
• Derby-Nottingham-Leicester extension
• Derwent Valley extension
• Nottingham-Lincoln extension
• Hope Valley extension
1L09 uses the old S9BL Class 390 with Avanti half-livery reskin. Using the newer version caused the scenario to crash during testing. I hope this is an acceptable compromise to allow for a longer run that includes a reverse at Sheffield.
INSTALLATION
Copy the included “Content” folder into your “Railworks” folder. This can usually be found in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common. If you are having trouble locating the folder, go to your Steam library, right click on “Train Simulator” and choose “Properties” from the menu. In the pop-up window that opens, click the “Local Files” tab near the top and then click on the button marked “Browse Local Files”. This will open your “Railworks” folder.
Please note that this pack is quite demanding. 16Gb RAM is recommended. The AP Sky and Weather EP 2.0 is required for these scenarios to function as intended.

Links to payware and freeware requirements for the pack are in the included Readme. Some of these items have their own requirements and you should carefully check the download page to ensure that you have all of them.
Items marked with * are used for static consists or decoration, or are otherwise non-essential. You can play the scenarios without them, but some cosmetic items will be missing.

Amazing scenarios! However, cant get 1L09 to load though….keep getting that dreaded 0xc0000005 OUT OF MEMORY message when loading that scenario, any suggestions?
Not much unfortunately – the error message unfortunately doesn’t tell us if the issue is with your PC specs (it’s a demanding scenario and route), if the scenario isn’t installed properly or you have a corrupt asset somewhere in your Railworks install. I test on my own PC, which is based on a Ryzen 7 3800 processor, RTX2080 graphics and 32Gb RAM with graphics settings maxed except anti-aliasing so if your specs are a lot lower than this (especially if you have less than 16Gb RAM), that might be the issue. In that case, one thing that might possibly help is reducing the “scenery quality” slider in TS graphics settings by one notch, or using TS Tools to delete anything in the scenario labelled as “loose consist” – these are static trains with no AI driver that can safely be removed without breaking the scenario, so the impact is cosmetic.
If your PC is close to, or better than mine, it’s more likely to be a corrupt scenario file (as a first step, try redownloading and reinstalling the pack) or you need to reinstall one of the scenario requirements – if you have issues with scenarios that all contain the same train or reskin, that could be the culprit. 1L09 uses a reskinned class 323, the ATS 185, the Class 150/1 with AP EP and a reskinned S9BL 390 that don’t appear in the rest of the pack, along with the freeware Drax and HYA-B wagons so it might be worth trying out other scenarios that include them – they’d be the first things I’d look at.
Sorry it’s just general advice, unfortunately TS is not great at explaining what goes wrong.
On scenario 1L09, I am currently getting a missing consist error for the Northern by Arriva class 150/1. I have got the DTG class 150 as well as the AP Class 150/1 Enhancement pack the latter of which has been recently installed and I was hoping this would fix the error however it still persists.
Can you confirm where this reskin is downloaded from as I can’t find it anywhere?
I thought I had just used the Arriva Northern livery included with the EP. I’ll check my installation in case there’s an old reskin lurking in there, otherwise a bit of a mystery!
Just checked and yes indeed there is an old reskin that I put into the scenario by mistake (or possibly my EP installation is out of date). Either way, my mistake so sorry about that! I’ll correct this and upload an update as soon as I get the chance (may be a day or two). In the meantime you can try swapping out the rogue AI consist using TS Tools or LocoSwap, I think it is 2B19 Hazel Grove to Piccadilly.
I’ve fixed the error and uploaded an updated version of the pack. Hopefully this will now work for you without any problems. Thanks for pointing it out!
Not a problem and thanks for sorting. I’ll download a fresh copy of the pack on to my computer tonight and see how it goes. All the other scenarios are great drives.
Scenario now loads up fine without issue. I’ll likely drive it at the weekend. 😁
Currently getting an error for a missing YWA wagon on scenario 2L57 Part 1. Can you confirm where this wagon is obtained from?
Ignore this message. I think I have found it in the Steam Sounds Supreme Pack included on the spec for the scenarios.

Himiav installed the fwa wagons. Copied over geo files.but game says missing. Any ideas.iav reinstall the ap and ats stuff.but still no joy.thx
If you’re having problems with a particular reskin, you’re best contacting the person who created it. Please also make sure that you’ve got the Class 66 LED Headlights patch from ATS installed.
