For several Sundays in the Summer 1998 timetable, services from the West Midlands to London were unable to use their normal route via Coventry due to engineering works. Therefore, this service will set off from Birmingham in the opposite direction to normal and call at Sandwell & Dudley, Wolverhampton, and Stafford. It will then reverse and head towards London via the Trent Valley route. Maximum speed is 100mph. Year: 1998
