(BL) 2S87 15:45 Sheffield to Manchester Piccadilly (2019)
9th October 2023An 80 minute scenario for the Just trains hope valley extension route, which takes you from Sheffield over the Hope valley towards Manchester Piccadilly on a semi-fast service, running non-stop to Hope and then calling at various stations for the remainder of the journey in ex ScotRail liveried 156465 on one of it’s small number of visits to Sheffield while still in it’s ScotRail colour scheme.

This is a nice scenario. There are problems loading, caused by pushing the memory required at the start to over 9Gb so the ‘Wash and Go’ memory workaround was required.
Once loaded and up and running it was a good trip to Manchester.

Tried to play on 2 different installs also loading up another scenario first this one also just dumps on me sadly too.
For info I am also getting the scenario crashing at load up. Tried a variety of things nothing worked unfortunately

yes, do you play this in fullscreen mode or windowed? just a thought
Just to update if helpful for anyone having a similar issue, it seems the scenario loads fine for me if I delete the Northern Rail 144…
Update No. 2 – still dumps after loading so must be something else / my install…
Hi Adam, i’d suggest maybe trying to run a different scenario first? I struggled to test it without it giving me OOM first time, but what i usually find gives me a chance is when i log onto TS, run a different scenario that is somewhat busy but you know will load, run that for about 15 minutes and then try this scenario. It’s long but seems to be the only way to get some of the bigger scenarios on more rescource intensive routes to work
Hi, thank you for your suggestion, I gave it a go.
I loaded another scenario for around 15 minutes (RS John’s 2S15, as far as Grindleford), then tried to load again and unfortunately I got another OOM
I re-read your instructions from your other scenario 1L09 have finally got it to load today after running a scenario on a different route for 20 mins, thanks 🙂
Hi, I didn’t have all requirements installed when I first loaded up (it loaded ok nevertheless), now I’ve installed all requirements the scenario OOM’s each time I try to load. Any suggestions? Thanks 🙂
You may find it is the BH reskins of the class 390, I swapped them out with RWTools and it loaded fine, the reskins were pushing over the edge and an OOM.
