As the evening peak draws in, some Brighton services from Victoria are reduced to a stopping pattern via Redhill. The first example is 2A40: 16:32 Victoria to Brighton. This service calls at Clapham Junction, East Croydon, Redhill, Gatwick Airport, Three Bridges, Haywards Heath, Wivelsfield, Burgess Hill, Hassocks, Preston Park and Brighton.
