This is an extensive overhaul of DTG’s ‘South Wales Main Line’, including resignalling, new track layouts and electrification as of 2023.

You’ll need the LATEST ATS Common Library and ATS Signal EP Patch installed. (Currently Leeds Lines Merge)

    There Is A Lot Of Missing Assets On The Route. When I Start The Route From Swansea To Paddington, I Saw A Lot Of Milk Bottles Everywhere On The Route. I Also Noticed That There Were Missing Textures On The Route And Missing Platforms. I Checked The Route With RW Tools, And Thousand Of Assets Were Missing. This Is The Log From RW Tools. A Lot Were Completely Missing.

    An excellent effort by all those involved in modernising this route.

    I like some others who have commented have also had some issues with missing signals. The is especially prevalent in a couple of parts of the route. Firstly several signals for me are missing between Bristol Parkway and Newport. Some notable missing signals are those at the entrance to the Severn Tunnel and at the end of the platform at Severn Tunnel Junction. Then between here and Newport it seems to be every other one. All is then fine until around 2 miles outside of Neath and all the way through to the outskirts of Swansea where I have no signals at all but ramps appear in the track and I get a beep from the AWS as if a signal was there.

    From looking at the comments elsewhere, I have checked I have the latest version of the ATS Common Library and also the Signal EP Patch installed and as far as I can see the latest versions are installed. In fact if I look on the ATS Installer and pay attention to the routes that I have, all are showing as installed and up to date.

    I am therefore not sure what else to try. If anyone has any guidance I would greatly appreciate it.

      Hi Mark,

      Thank you for the kind words. Indeed, we got reported some signalling issues that people have been facing.

      I highly suggest this although I can see that you’ve already tried this

      Download latest ATS common library – If you’re using the new ATS installer, delete the Chat Moss route and just redownload the route again.

      Once thats done and installed, go to https://alanthomsonsim.com/changelog/ and find ‘ATS Routes AP Signal EP Patch’ and download that and install it (Should be drag and drop)

      This theoretically should solve the issue you’re having, I know you’ve tried this before and it wasn’t successful but lets try again and see. Please update me here on how it goes

        Hi Elraen,
        Thanks for coming back to me on this. I hadn’t completely uninstalled a route, put it back on and reinstalled the signal patch in my attempts to fix it. However, having now installed the latest ATS installer, I have been able to uninstall the chat moss route, reinstall it along with the signal patch from the change log and upon running some tests between Newport and Bristol Parkway, all of the signals appear to now be showing. I still need to run some tests between Port Talbot Parkway, Neath and Swansea where I also had some missing signals but I am not expecting these to be missing any more. I’ll let you know the outcome of these tests between PTP, Neath and Swansea when I get a chance to drive it.

          As an update to this now that I have eventually had a chance to drive the route, all previously missing signals are now present on the route having reinstalled the Chat Moss Route as suggested. Thanks again.

    Hi I am trying to make a scenario on this route however there is a pathing error where the train cannot go from Patchway to Filton Abbey Wood Platform 1 direct instead it reverses at Bristol Parkway

    Hello, this is fantastic!
    However, I’m missing some platforms?
    Doing the Cardiff to BTM scenario with HST I appear to be missing the Severn tunnel junction platform and the Filton abbey wood one. Don’t think I’m missing any requirements, please advise thanks

      Hi,

      Regarding WelshMarchesLine, that should be gone in upcoming patches.

      In regards to JamesClass37, you also don’t need to worry about as we don’t use it.

      However, the ATS requirements you seem to be missing is cause you haven’t updated your common library – I recommend you follow these steps

      You’ll need to have the LATEST common library from ATS (Re-download Leeds Line Merge) then you’ll need to go to to https://alanthomsonsim.com/changelog and then download ATS Routes AP Signal EP Patch

        I have redownloaded the Leeds Merge route and the ATS Signal EP Patch as you suggested, but RSTools is still flagging the above ATS items as missing. I have looked inside the Track_Clutter folder, and indeed there is no quadrail_1m_.bin, or quadrail_2m_Red.bin present. I am stumped!
        Also, could you please tell me why i am getting missing textures for the platform edges at Bristol Parkway please?

    Hi, I seem to have an issue with signals. I have signals around the platform at Swansea, but apart from that I have no visible signals on the route. I believe I have all the requirements. Any suggestions? Or which route are the signals from and I’ll try reinstalling that. Thanks

    Had my first run. Really enjoyed it. Fantastic job. For scenario 2C67, I couldn’t let the passengers off at BTM P4, even having shuffled up and down the platform a couple of time.
