Due to industrial action at the Keighley Bus Company in the spring of 1987, it was decided to boost capacity on services between Leeds and Lancaster and substitute DMUs with loco hauled trains. This meant that run-arounds had to be performed at Lancaster quickly to catch the departure back to Leeds.

You will head out on to the WCML at Carnforth with 37071 on the final stretch of 2M87 before running around at Lancaster to begin the 2E70 return journey eastwards.
