PDL Class 37 BR Blue Reskin
10th August 2020The vast majority of Class 37’s were of the Centre Headcode variant and from the late Sixties to the mid Eighties BR Blue livery was ubiquitous, some could still be seen into the Nineties. However, this livery and variant has been unavailable in TS since the RSC Class 37 Pack was discontinued many years ago.
To address this I have taken the reskins of the RSC 37 done by Ben Yates (with his consent) and applied them to the Class 37 from the original Portsmouth Direct Line which is still available on Steam. In the fullness of time Armstrong Powerhouse will properly fill the 37/0 void with their Class 37 Pack Volume II.
I’m a little confused. I have both versions of Portsmouth Direct Line and cannot find the Class 37 anywhere in those DLC and manuals. Where else is this model?
Is it possible to apply the skins to yet another model? Either the Kuju – which isn’t going anywhere – or the Settle to Carlisle one, which I can confirm having? It would be neat to see some of the unavailable Class 66 reskins for the RSDL covering the Settle to Carlisle Class 66, as well; I understand that is a version 1, not the v2.0. I do have both the 37 and 66 from AP, but there are just a few skins that I don’t think are covered by those packs.
Update: turns out it’s located under Guildford District. the old PDL used to be known as Guildford District, from my understanding, and the package is not found on SteamDB. However, I did buy the old version, and it turns out the missing Class 37 is found at Assets\RSC\GuildfordDistrict\RailVehicles\Diesel\Class37. For anyone who is trying to find this train, there you go. This pack has use after all!
OK now I cant find any 37s in the Portsmouth Direct Line under DTG but under RSC GuildfordDistrict there is a red class 37 .And are the reskins all 37256 .
The original PDL was indeed released by RSC and they never made the mistake of releasing branded content, hence the Class 37 is just red rather than DB Cargo. In the Scenario Editor the reskins are all listed with the prefix PDL.
The AP class 37 sound pack is not available now .
