“Please note my 1A28 Plymouth – Paddington scenario had an older copy of the route installed in error! It’s been corrected now. 18?11/25.
Here we have an updated and slightly backdated version of the RDC route originally from High Speed Tracks, to reflect the period between 1995 – 2005, when HST’s and loco hauled trains were still in the South West.

Apologies for the extensive list (I got carried away initially and un-ticking can cause issue’s)
The main requirements are the JT routes and AP bits, UKTS and freeware, the rest is only scenery related
It’s been a labour of love and a pain at time’s. But thanks’ to the High Speed Track team for their hardwork, BazzRES47 and Jake Fuller for helping and providing assets and giving me the confidence to put it out there, finally to all the help ATS have given me to help get things right to host the route.
To install read the readme: extract with 7zip and copy and paste the Content and Asset folder’s into your Railworks/Content/ & Asset folder’s.
28/07/24 Please be aware that this will overwrite your copy of Devon and Cornwall route if installed, back up your scenarios for reusing on the original version before installing.. Sorry still learning..
09/08/24 Backing up and removing the original version is recommended to avoid potential overwriting issues. Quick drives added.
Note: It is a frame hungry route in 4k, I have tested using 1080p and get 25-35 fps in highly detailed areas with everything turned up.
Hello there.
I seem to be having an issue with the game dumping either when I go to the editor, or try to load a scenario. I’ve had a look at the requirements and I don’t think I’m missing anything (although there is a long list to look at). I’ve tried reinstalling the route but seem to have the same problem, although the game will intermittently load the editor.
Any help/Advice on this is greatly appreciated.

Hi Wayne, sorry not sure what the issue is? It all seems ok my end. Is it with loading the Route, Scenario or an older scenario on possibly? I’m sorry I cant help much more. Make sure you don’t have an older scenario as that does cause issues,
Seems to be a problem with scenario loading, both in the game and the editor.
Hi Wayne, I’ve taken a look again it all seems good here. My 1A28 Plymouth – Paddington run in error had an older copy of the route as opposed to the scenario, that has now been rectified. If you have the original Devon and Cornwall route installed check which scenario your loading as they will not load. Try loading the pre load scenario first then the one want to play. Hope this helps.
Plus can we see the scenarios included with the route updated to use the most up to date rolling stock please at some point
Hi LNERFAN I’m about to upload a new version of the route with fixes and revamps, a few additions from Bazzares47 and Jake Fuller. I will take a look at the scenarios although if they are from a while back due to changes with the route they can cause issues. I actually think unfortunately it is easier to start with new ones. I will be leaving Plymouth – Bristol alone now so any new scenarios will not be affected.
Hello i have encountered at problem with 1C47 Paddington to Weston super mare in which the scenario is broken which is the player train however when I go to correct it in the editor the game crashes every time can this be fixed please?
Hi LNERFAN4468 is this an older scenario? as I mentioned before older scenarios are generally broken due to updated track or stock, unfortunately if it isn’t included with latest version then that’s all I suggest I’m afraid. I am hoping to get a old one updated soon on ATS.

After reinstalling the route a few time and its dependencies, the route loads however on a few places like Truro the route loads with the player train off route, and when you leave the cab and then re enter the route starts rebuilding itself,
It’s a really odd situation but was wondering if anyone has ever come across the same thing,

Hi I’m not sure what the issue can be, I’ve not came across it personally. Is it whilst playing a scenario or a quick drive? there was an issue with pathing around there, but it should of been corrected in the latest version.

Hi Goodstuffyeah, thanks for the kind words. No not at the moment, eventually I’d like to finish the missing Cornish bit. I’m currently on a course with a new job, so time is thin on the ground. I’m hoping an update will be out soon with fixes, lots of scenery upgrades and Bath rd depot and Philips marsh included etc.

The only thing it takes to not overwrite Devon&Cornwall is to copy your route, rename the folder to, say, a71edcc0-8000-0000-0000-000000000000, report that value inside the RouteProperties.xml file ( value) and voilà!
Hi Frankoi thank you and thanks for your info regarding the new route number. It’s a shame as I wasn’t aware at the time I started it as a personal project, until it was pointed out to me. I will definitely take a look tho. I’m nearly in the position to put an updated version out shortly and I don’t want to mess up any bits that may reference the original route number. It’s a shame as the last thing I wanted to do was to mess up Simon’s hard work, as it would not of been done without the original Devon and Cornwall route.

i have this problem with this route.
At Bridgewater Western super Mare between Western Milton and Worle
and also at Yatton i have missing track at this places.
This is odd as i have all the Requirements for this route.
please could you advise me what the problem is.

Hi John, I’m not sure what that could be or is causing that? I’m currently going through the route as it’s nearly in a position to be updated, with fixes and lots added. I’ll take a look tho. Do you have up to date versions of Just Trains routes installed as it uses the Just Trains GU track.
I am really loving this backdated route, it is a realwork of art. The beach people from PierreG really add life to it, especially the sweaty bloke in his garden at the crossing cottage near Heathfield. I found them at https://ajrailsim.pierreg.org/ (Personnages à la plage,) so no milk bottles there. Sadly, I can find nothing for PeterKiggins and News. Keep up the great work and many thanks again.

I’ve not done to much to the route of late with other commitments but hopefully I’ll be getting back to soon with and update including
Fixes, massive tree overhaul, Taunton cider sidings, Newton Abbot, Taunton and Exeter to reflect time period. Also Bazzares47 Bath Rd depot.
