The pack includes 15 scenarios across 6 routes using a variety of trains, based on Working Timetables from 2004 to 2023. All the scenarios feature Northern, Transpennine Express or their predecessors.

INSTALLATION

A number of folders are included in the download. Decide whether you want to install all of the scenarios, or just those for a particular route and choose the appropriate folder.

Copy the included “Assets” and “Content” folders into your “Railworks” folder. This can usually be found in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common. If you are having trouble locating the folder, go to your Steam library, right click on “Train Simulator” and choose “Properties” from the menu. In the pop-up window that opens, click the “Local Files” tab near the top and then click on the button marked “Browse Local Files”. This will open your “Railworks” folder.

The “Assets” folder includes a custom portal that can be placed in scenarios. It will not over-write any of your core files. This is an extremely simple and well-known modification (link to a Steam forum thread that contains a good explanation from DP Simulation). I claim no credit for this and have simply provided my own version for convenience.

AP GENERAL ENHANCEMENTS

The AP Sky and Weather Enhancement Pack 2.0 and AP Signal Enhancement Pack are required.

The scenarios are playable without the AP Sky and Weather Enhancement Pack 2.0, but you will not experience the intended weather conditions. If you do not have the AP Signal Enhancement Pack the scenarios may function but it is likely you will experience unintended signalling issues in some scenarios.

The AP Vegetation Enhancement Pack is highly recommended but not required.

STOCK REQUIREMENTS

Links to payware and freeware requirements for the pack are provided in the readme. Some of these items have their own requirements and you should carefully check the download page to ensure that you have all of them.

Items marked with * are used for static consists or decoration. You can play the scenarios without them, but some cosmetic items will be missing.
You will not need all of the requirements for PenninePacer’s Manchester Stations to Huddersfield route as it is only needed for the AnsaldoBreda T68 Tram.
