15th May 2021Note: Issue with scenario not appearing in game now fixed.
May 2021 saw the end of InterCity 125s on the Midland Mainline. To recognise this, there was a tour set up, by the Branch Line Society, that would go from London St. Pancras to Leicester (turn around at Melton Mowbray) and return back to London. In this scenario, you take the tour from London to Bedford, non-stop, (on DTG’s Midland Mainline) with 43102 at your control. Make sure to have your hand ready on the horn when you go through stations to give a “Hello!” (More a “Goodbye”) to the enthusiasts!

DTG London – Faversham Route
DTG Midland Mainline (London – Bedford)

Known issues:
With the ATP ‘On’, your brakes will immediately slam on once you go past Bedford, this is due to how close you are to the buffers at ths point.

It still keeps saying “Driver Blocker at Lat 52.12451 Long -0.47790 – Not connected to destination – (S) Portal1
Hey again, plese press “F2” and then “Cancel”. You should be able to play from there. The blocker is for an AI Service south of Bedford, it is only there to display a red aspect and won’t ruin the scenario.

It says it can’t work because of a Driver Block and it also says Not connected to destination
Reinstall the route please
I was hoping someone would make a scenario based around this, just a shame we don’t have the route in game to do the whole journey. One thing though, 43274 should be leading leaving St. Pancras. Easy enough to swap round in the editor at least. 😉
43102 was leading, out of st pancras
Huh, so did it turn round somewhere then because when it passed me heading north just before Kettering 43274 was leading. Anyway, still a very nice scenario.
Turned at Syston Jn, just north of Leicester
Unsure why this isnt showing up in the scenario list ?
I found the same issue @JMorris, it is because the folder structure wasn’t correct.
Instead of it being 00000034-d000-0000-0000-000000002014 it was 00000034-d0000-0000-0000-000000002014 with one extra 0 after the d which sets it up as a completely different folder in the routes folder.
I wonder if anyone else has experienced problems. Each time I load the scenario the Sim just crashes back to the desktop. ?
Hi there. Unfortunately that’s a PC issue not the scenario, however, you could try resintalling a few of the requirements or reinstall the route. Hope this helps
