This scenario is based on the 16/09/2022.
Due to services being cancelled due to no cover, Avanti partnered up with LSL to add a New Crewe – London – Manchester Charter train that was added to the 2022 September timetable. . Avanti west coast has worked alongside charter operator Locomotive Services LTD to hire their Class 90 Intercity set (90002 and 82139) to add an additional working from London Euston – Manchester Piccadilly.

At this time, large numbers of people were wishing to visit the capital to pay their respects to the late Queen Elizabeth II. This special charter caught a lot of train enthusiasts and the fare to ride this train was no extra, but the standard price of an avanti ticket which made this service unique.
Therefore in this scenario, you will be driving 1Z94 out of London Euston for Birmingham New Street on your leg of the journey. Another driver will take over from Birmingham New Street onwards to Manchester Piccadilly.
