DESCRIPTION:
Due to the unplanned and slow introduction of the new Bombardier Class 377 “Electrostar” family, to the South Central fleet, many of the old slammers found themselves an extended life sentence with prolonged service. However, by May 2003 the new builds eventually found themselves being introduced on mainline and coast services. On a cloudless morning, you oversee a pair of the new Electrostar’s on the 08:42 Brighton to London Victoria semi-fast service. Please be advised there is a 40MPH TSR in place at Quarry Tunnel due to overrunning engineering works. Year: 2003
