Western Mainlines Electrification Project – Stage 1.5 to Didcot
8th May 2020This is the long awaited GWML Electrification project with no more floating gantries, signals, out of place platforms or missing wires. Thanks to Pete Mitchell from ATS, Martin Masterson and Alex55 for all the brilliant advice he has given us.
Stage 1 includes OHLE from London Paddington to Didcot Parkway as well as new stop signs, station signs, benches and CCTV cameras to enhance the Western Mainlines experience. We have used different cab ride videos and satelite imagery to make sure the placement of the OHLE is accurate however in some places this is just not possible due to the modelling of the route.
Requirements:
– Just Trains Western Mainlines
– Alan Thomson Simulation OHLE pack
– Just Trains Metropolitan Line or London to Aylesbury (for new CCTV cameras and benches)
– Hornsey Studios TFL Rail benches
– Major Wales Design IET stop marker pack
– James Northcott GWML Electrification project asset pack
– DTG Southampton to Bournemouth

The electrification to Didcot is brilliant. But it is a shame that we have lost the existing scenary/stations west of Teignmouth.
I’ve been low key working on extending this, it’s not as good as the to Didcot part I’ll admit, but I have got wires upto Chippenham so far, if I can get permission from original creator of this version, I can try to upload it, then will start on the Wooton Bassett to Bristol Parkway part later in the year

to be honest im quite disappointed nobody has updated this down to swindon or bristol / chippenham since.
when will there be 2.0? for bristol or cardiff?
I think they’ve abandoned any more updates. Maybe one day someone will finish the electrification. Here’s hoping.

How do you get the AP 387 to run as an AI on this route? I can see the OHLE fine but the track is still classed as “unelectrified” meaning that I can’t run any electric trains on it (other than the 800)

I have installed everything this pack requires and yet i do not see any OHE beyond hayes and harlington.
Perhaps i made a mistake.

What was the issue? i dont have overhead wires beyond hayes and harlington aswell.
The “Hornsey Studios TFL Rail benches” link in the requirements (https://hornsey-studios.weebly.com/assets.html) is broken the page does not load and I have tried on 3 different browsers.
What does DTG Southampton to Bournemouth add?
In the readme it states that they’ve been added for platform extension modelling.
