Western Mainlines Electrification Project – Stage 1.5 to Didcot
8th May 2020This is the long awaited GWML Electrification project with no more floating gantries, signals, out of place platforms or missing wires. Thanks to Pete Mitchell from ATS, Martin Masterson and Alex55 for all the brilliant advice he has given us.
Stage 1 includes OHLE from London Paddington to Didcot Parkway as well as new stop signs, station signs, benches and CCTV cameras to enhance the Western Mainlines experience. We have used different cab ride videos and satelite imagery to make sure the placement of the OHLE is accurate however in some places this is just not possible due to the modelling of the route.
Requirements:
– Just Trains Western Mainlines
– Alan Thomson Simulation OHLE pack
– Just Trains Metropolitan Line or London to Aylesbury (for new CCTV cameras and benches)
– Hornsey Studios TFL Rail benches
– Major Wales Design IET stop marker pack
– James Northcott GWML Electrification project asset pack
– DTG Southampton to Bournemouth

Hi. I’ve got all requirements other than the Hornsey TFL benches but I’m getting missing textures on the platforms. Is there anything I’ve missed that i can fix? Thanks
Are there plans to Extend this to Cardiff, like IRL?

Hi, I´m working on the section between Paddington and Hayes+Harlington to improve the OHLE with ATS OHLE and I already copletet the section Southall – Hayes+Harlington. I dont know how to reach the creator of this, so i just commented.

I downloaded this route today and I’m very grateful to those who created it. I was looking for a modernised Great Western London to Reading and this fits the bill the best possible, I would imagine a few of the stations would need to have extensions with the next update. But to finally be able to use electric traction on great Western is a huge update so well done.

This has not been updated in a while, is this still being worked on? It would be a massive disappointment if not because I was really looking forward to being able to do a full run on this in a class 800!

The Hornsey Studios requirement is no longer available, and Google searches for “James Northcott GWML Electrification project asset pack” got me nowhere… :o( It’s a shame that such a majestic project has requirements that are hard or near impossible to get hold of.

When I click on the link for the Hornsey Studios TFL Rail benches I get a ‘Page Not Found 404 error’. Is there a new link I can use?

Lukas (who owns Hornsey Studios) recently removed the website and made a new one, so the TfL Rail Benches are no longer available. They may be made available again at some point on his new site, which is https://lp-reskins.weebly.com however they are not there at the time of writing.

Hi mate I am trying to make a scenario on your route however I am having problems with electric trians west of Hayes and Harlington as the game is keeping an error of incorrect electrification which is very odd as I’ve sued 800 387 and 360s past Hayes and Harlington before but now it isn’t working is there anyway I can fix this to make it work the main is working fine sort off but the relief isn’t

I hope this is still being worked on. I have plans and other Diagrams of the Paddington to Maidenhead Section, Heathrow Airport terminal, its Tunnels and all of Crossrail, If he is interested in adding those bits in.
