Class 158 – Northern Variants

I cannot quite believe I’m updating this in 2024, but here I am. I’ve added a set of Cummins bins for how most of the units look(ed), without gangway windows but with non-LED clusters. Fixed a coupla things too, I hope.
What is it?
This pack depicts a number of 158 units operated by Arriva Rail Northern. Included are 6 additional variants to AP’s Enhancement Packs, including the Ex-ScotRail units.
The differences are seen in the page pic, and are explained further in the manual.

6 Additional Variants – featuring the correct lights and ploughs where applicable.
PreLoads are included with the naming style:

The best way to check is to search Flickr for each by date taken.
The 158s in the new livery are:
752-759, 782, 786, 789, 845, 849, 867-871, 901-905, 908-909
I am having same problem as other users, run the batch file from the Railworks folder and get red screen error referring to three missing geo files which do not appear to be present in the folders it referred to or anywhere that I can find.

Unfortunately I’m also struggling to get this installed and having the same issue with the installer as reported elsewhere. The background goes red and tells me to manually copy the GEOPCDX files but I’ve no idea what I’m meant to be copying to where. There’s also another file in the download that isn’t mentioned in the instructions and I haven’t a clue what I’m supposed to do with it. In my case, the 15875x variants and ex-Scotrail units work just fine, the rest won’t load.

Can you please detail the folder you are running the batch from? (should be Railworks) and if Geomod is also extracted here. The Batch file controls Geomod, there is no need to attempt to run it.
Hi, I’m having issues with the installation process, the batch file doesn’t seem to be working. It says the Geomod.exe is not a recognised Internal or external program and I have tried manually copying the GEOPCDX Files but I’m not that brainy with this type of stuff so I’m unsure what to do and which GEOPCDX Files need copying. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
Im having an issue with any of the DMSL showing the Msl did show for a while but not thats gone

Is there a way to customise the units for example in the pack 909 doesnt have a window on the front but on the model in TS it has one. Is there a code I have to add to the unit code

Hi,
I am having issues with the 1589x units not showing at all. The batch file is not copying the GEOs over apparently and I have checked the files and the geos is there. My ex SR is working, it is just the /9. Thanks for your help
Are all the Geos there? 3 in total in the DMSL folder.
Hi there, There seems to be a problem with the Perkins Northern Revised. The numbers are scrambled when I load them in. Is there any fix to this? Thank you
My apologies. I’ve just checked the download to find I had omitted a csv file. A redownload should fix the issue.

Hi there. After following the included instructions, there doesn’t appear to be any sound and the cab controls are not functioning on the Ex-ScotRail units in Northern Livery. On the outside, there is a constant stream of smoke coming from the exhaust again with no sound and the numbering is missing. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
This will be fixed in approximately one hour (1030). Please redownload after this, apologies for the inconvenience. (I’ll add a changelog in the description, so if you don’t see that, it hasn’t been updated).
Have you tried updating it? The ex scotrail works and the revised number 1 3 car works but not number 2 of the 3 coach set, /9 and the others. It’s just the ex scotrail and the revised works but one of them.
