Why 5X? Could of been done as a 5S or 5D headcode….
It’s a fictional headcode as I wasn’t aware of any ECS’s in the morning but I wanted to do a ‘morning rush’ scenario so I came up with it. I’m also not the best when it comes to headcodes so I just took a guess.
Why the need for a 5X path? What’s so special about it?

If in any doubt, put it as a 5Z and say ‘due to an issue with the train, you need to return it to the depot’. Anything pathed as an ‘X’ is usually something that needs to be routed according to it’s gauging type, and can’t be diverted. A distance that short, would only be covered as an ‘X’ if it was an IET on test, which are now route cleared so don’t need the ‘X’ anyway.
Ah, thank you so much. I’ll definitely take note of this, thanks!
