3P22 19.01 Portsmouth & Southsea L.L. – Waterloo, Parcels and Mail (1986)
27th January 2021Hi, and thank you for downloading this 75 minute scenario for the Portsmouth Direct Waterloo to Portsmouth Harbour route by DTG.
To install, simply copy the enclosed ‘Content’ folder to your Railworks folder. This is a ‘Standard’ scenario and is named “[MJC] 3P22 1901 Portsmouth & Southsea L.L. – Waterloo, Parcels and Mail”
Summary
On a crisp late September evening, drive this parcels and mail service as far as Guildford. The loco allocated to this service, 73121, has a fault in its leading cab but is still able to provide power. Demonstrating the versatility of the Southern Region stock, and the 73s in particular, BEP unit 2307 which has just come off a B-exam, will top the train. The class 73 is able to work in multiple with 2307, and can also translate the brake signals to operate the vacuum brakes on the parcels vans. You will stop at Fratton to drop off staff, then call to collect parcels and mail at Havant, Petersfield, Haslemere, Godalming, and Guildford where you will be relieved. Press ‘T’ at each stop to ensure you are held until booked time. Maximum speed is 90mph. Set the blinds to White-White. CSR was not in use at this time. Year: 1986.

It all went nicely when the 73 brakes decided to stop playing nicely with the BEP and the whole consist starting shaking until TS went nuts (sounds stopping, keys stopping to respond…)
Something related to scripting must have changed since 2021.
