Thank you for downloading this 2-part scenario for both the ‘Kings Cross – Kings Lynn’ and ‘ECML London Kings Cross to Leeds/York Merge’ routes available on ATS.
Setting: March 2023
Duration: Part 1 = ~50 mins; Part 2 = ~80 mins; Total Duration = ~2h 10mins
Track Covered: ECML London Kings Cross – Leeds

Overview:
This busy mid-week afternoon sees you take on the 15:03 LNER service to Leeds in the cab of repainted 91109 ‘Sir Bobby Robson’. The weather in the South of England has been gorgeous all day, but a cold front from the Atlantic is due to sweep over the country later – bringing a large patch of rainfall over The Midlands and parts of Yorkshire. However, the forecast reckons it should clear up by the time we get to Leeds.

We will be calling at Peterborough (15:50), Doncaster (16:40), Wakefield Westgate (16:59), and Leeds (17:16).

ISSUES and OTHER THINGS TO KNOW:
>>SPAD-ING. There are 2 occasions where you are required to TAB signals, both at Doncaster. The first occasion is the signal immediately before Doncaster Platform 4 after you’ve waited for a 185 to Cleethorpes to depart, and secondly, the signal at the end of Platform 4 as you depart. You are updated about this issue when you stop at the (correctly functioning) RED SIGNAL when you inevitably arrive at Doncaster five minutes early.

>>WEATHER TRANSITION FLASHES. At the timestamp of when there is a transition into a different AP Weather setting, I noticed there is a very brief flash that occurs – an issue that is in fact mentioned in the Sky & Weather 2.0 manual. I’ve only just started getting to grips with this new enhancement pack, so I’m not 100% sure of a way that you can troubleshoot this – however, if there is a way then please let me know and I can amend this at a later date. As for now, it shouldn’t affect your experience too much.

>>ROLLING STOCK REPLACEMENTS. Due to the current absence of Northern’s Civity’s and Class 333s, and Greater Anglia’s FLIRTs – these trains are instead represented by MajorWales’ Arriva Northern Class 170; CLOWES’ Class 322 Northern (UB); and the Greater Anglia Class 170 – respectively.

>>Particularly for lower-spec PCs, it is highly recommended that you shut down and restart Train Simulator after finishing Part 1 before moving on to Part 2.

>>I’ve made the decision to not include Rolling Stock around the London Depots and Doncaster Yards as this would have a drastic effect on FPS for some and may cause the game to crash. It would also mean too many pointless requirements from AP and JT that you and I can’t really afford to splash out on. As a result, the Doncaster Yards do look a bit barren but hopefully this doesn’t affect one’s experience.
