I had a look at your scenario through TS Tools and it seems the crashing is from the possible factor you have a total of 101 total units in the scenario, the maximum tolerance most scenario creators go for really is 70 at best. I would get rid of all the Static AI and the lesser needed AI units (minor stock movements etc). Will most likely prevent the dumps @ Luton Airport P’wy (where I ended up dumping at) & Wivelsfield.
Crashes for me at Luton airport parkway.
I just did this scenario. It’s definitely a fun challenge. I like that the weather kept changing. Unfortunately it dumped on me twice at Luton Airport Parkway, but 3rd time lucky. Then it dumped on me just coming into Wivelsfield. It worked on my 2nd attempt and then finally got to Brighton. A couple of issues I noticed: I had several AI trains pass me on the Bedford to St. Pancras section that were just couplings and gangways. I’m not sure what it could be because I have all the requirements listed and didn’t have any errors on loading. It must be a missing geo issue, but not sure what stock is causing the problem. One of them passed me around the West Hampstead area. There were also a couple of route issues I noticed (not your fault, but they did impact the experience): 1) there were no FLU/RLU stop markers. I’m pretty sure I had those on another scenario, but not totally sure. Isn’t there a freeware version of these somewhere? 2) There’s one crossover with a missing speed limit somewhere between St. Albans and St. Pancras (where you cross back to the left) and I hit it at 40mph, not expecting it. It was quite violent!
First of all, thanks for your review on my first scenario. I gotta say I’m a little bit surprised, because I serioulsy had no problems, whatsoever. Just did 2 days ago this run again, but I’m sorry it didn’t run for you as it should have.
The first problem you mentioned that occourred between Bedford and St. Pancras is strange. I’d guess it really has something to do with the geo files, but can’t say much more to that.
Now to your route issues: 1) Yes, there’s a way to place the FLU/RLU stop markers, but just found out about it a few days ago.
2) I will take this into consideration for upcoming scenarios to place them myself, if DTG forgot to place some missing speed limits.
Again, thank you very much for your detailed feedback.
Any reason why you didn’t use the AP 465 for this? I have it and now I’m having to pay for marketplace reskins for a worse piece of AI? If you think it improves performance a lot, then ok, but otherwise, seems a bit strange.
Hi Mark. You answered the question yourself with the last sentence. In London Bridge are already a huge amount of trains and somehow the AP 465 overkilled it, sadly. Otherwise I’d have used them.
Or marketplace class 465 livery pack
Yes, corrected. Thank you, I just updated the requirements list
*correct
I have all the requirements listed but it says I am missing 465/9 SE Blue?
Might have used an old reskin for 465 With sound pack instead of V2 Enhancement? Not sure.
Looking at the screenshot, I think its the Dpsimulation SE Blue reskin.
Thanks for your reply. Just checked the scenario, because of the problem you mentioned. I completly forgot to put it into the requirements list, but I used the “TS Marketplace: Class 465 Southeastern Livery Pack” from steam. As far as I know I used them, because they were more performance friendly. Sorry for any inconvenience. Updated the requirements list now.
No worries, just becuase of the way the train by DTG is set up I couldn’t swap the stock using RW Tools but I’ve purchased that now, thanks for the update.
