It’s Easter Sunday 2021 and this morning you’re in charge of 5O10 the ECS from Barton Under Needwood to Birmingham that then joins 1O10 at New Street to add capacity to the 10:04 departure to Southampton. A few ECS runs during the day run via the Cross City Line to aid in route knowledge retention for XC drivers and this is one such train. However, a TSR just before Lichfield means you’re now about 5 minutes late and will be following a 323 all the way to Birmingham.
