1Y44 1010 Mallaig to Glasgow Queen Street (2015)
13th May 2021Hello everyone! this time I bring you all a slice of my WIP scenario pack for West Highland Line full route. The slice being the sixth scenario of the pack which is the longest. It takes around 5 hours to complete.
You will need to change cabs at Crainlarich to couple up with the Oban portion. I could not find a way to make the Oban portion couple up with the player train. So I did the opposite. Weather will be very dynamic at the beginning which something you can brave and move on. At Cowlairs junction, you might need to wait for few minutes to let an ECS crossover to Eastfield depot.

Glad to see this in TS. You start in the rear cab of 2x 156 units are we taking a 4 car to Queen street or do I need to uncouple the rear set? Just unsure as it would mean a 6car set at Crianlarich?
Thanks for downloading the scenario Ryan. You start with 2x 156s from the rear end so when you reach Fort William you can change back to front and continue till Queen Street. Now coming to coupling there is no need for uncoupling anywhere in the scenario. When you reach Crainlarich with your 2x 156 units you will have to couple with another 156 unit coming from Oban forming a 6-car set. In reality I think the Oban portion couples up with the Mallaig unit but I could not make it happen here. So instead the player train has to couple with the Oban portion and continue towards GLQ. Hope this brings some clarity.
The reason player starts from the rear end is due to the reversal at Fort William and also at Crianlarich the Oban unit couples to the ‘back’ of player train.
