1M45 0929 Newport – Liverpool Lime Street (2002)18th January 2021
A fairly straightforward scenario for the excellent Welsh Marshes route.
Scenario Briefing: Wales and Borders operated two pairs of trains per day into Liverpool. The first pair was a morning Cardiff arrival that went to Milford Haven, the second was more obscure. Wessex Trains’ 1F06 0600 Portsmouth Harbour – Cardiff Central would be formed of two units – one from Wessex, the other from WB. At Newport, the service would split, with the Wessex unit continuing onto it’s final destination while the WB unit would turn around and promptly head to Liverpool as the second train, returning to Newport to join another Cardiff – Portsmouth Wessex service. Today you will oversee the Liverpool bound working as far as Shrewsbury.
