1M05 1040 Glasgow Central to London Euston
11th April 2020Hello and thank you for downloading! This is one scenario for DTG’s ‘West Coast Mainline Over Shap’ route…
Each weekday the 15:35 Virgin departure from Euston terminates at Carlisle. However, on Friday’s only it is extended through to Glasgow and thus subsequently forming 1M05 from the Scottish City the next morning. Today, due to a cracked windscreen on the DVT, a Class 86 was rostered from its duties around Polmadie to pilot the service throughout to London. You join the service at Carlisle, and you will work through to Preston. Year: 1999

Brilliant scenario Josh! The AP 86 is a fabulous bit of kit isn’t it? Can’t get enough of driving it. Loved this scenario. Really good challenge with the timings. Got to Oxenholme some 5 mins early and managed to get to Lancaster just 25 secs behind the scheduled arrival time which I was pretty impressed with seeming as it was so tight! Lovely stuff. Thanks for creating and sharing!
Kind Regards
John
Thank you very much John! Glad you enjoyed it!! I myself love driving this EP, and so creating a drive with challenging timings was something high on my agenda from the start! Stay tuned for more in the future!
Josh
Great scenario but can’t set tail lights on rear of class 90, Tried changing cabs but can’t enter class 90 cab to set them?
In reality, the 90 tail lights would not be illuminated anyway and would instead carry a ‘tail lamp’ on the brackets of the loco above the buffers. I hope you managed to play the scenario successfully though, David!
Very enjoyable scenario, all worked perfectly, although it was not possible to get to Lancaster on time, but I still got a tick so I went home happy!
Thank you Alex, glad you enjoyed the run. And indeed, the timings at Lancaster are tight!!
superb mate, first drive of the 86. loved it
Cheers Aaz, glad you enjoyed! The 86 is a wonderful piece of kit isn’t it? 🙂
The Manual included is the Manual for 1P40
Thanks for the heads up Chris, all fixed now! 🙂
