1B86: 1930 Birmingham New Street to London Euston
28th February 2019You are in charge of 1B86, which is the 19:30 service from Birmingham New Street to London Euston. It is formed of an 11-car Class 390, and you will be calling at Birmingham International, Coventry, Rugby and Watford Junction. A great selection of AI services have been included, all following the timetable of their respective TOC. The intent was to include more services, but this would start causing dumps. Really enjoyed this scenario, but I had to tweak it slightly in the editor to complete it because I couldn’t arrive at Euston any less than 1 minute 40 secs late due to the red signal just outside the station. Also I found two spurious reds that needed tabbing – the first was the second signal after leaving Rugby and the second was a few miles outside Euston. Otherwise excellent. Thanks for the hard work.
I’m sorry about the red signals, as it was all fine in testing. I’m very glad you managed to sort it out, and that you enjoyed it!
I had an AI leave path when I was a few miles past Rugby. A shame really, as it was a nice scenario until then. I had to laugh to myself, as I had 14 FPS for the whole run until then, I had never seen framerates that low for so long before.
I will investigate this further! Do you remember the service number of the train? Regarding framerates, they are quite low regardless of AI, but the AI certainly contributed to a larger drop.
Sorry for the late reply, beer got in the way. I restarted the scenario from the save point to fing out which AI messed up, and guess what? It didn’t, and I made it into Euston about a minute late. I did notice the ETA times were way off, not sure if that is a route or scenario problem. Many thanks for doing what turned out to be an excellent scenario.
I’m glad to hear that, and I hope you enjoyed the beer! As long as you arrived before the scheduled time at each station, it should be okay.
And everything works for me, though I was late to London station
I’m glad it did! Arriving a few minutes late can be expected in this scenario, it just hasn’t been specified.
Please do the Watford DC line)))
I will do that in the near future for sure!
Can’t load the scenario, twice I’ve waited 45 minutes but still no luck whatsoever.
I’m sorry to hear that! Are you running it on the 64 bit version of Train Sim? Do you also have more than 4 GB of RAM available?
Seems like a great scenario but as I leave rugby an Ai train derails, ending the scenario
That is quite strange! Have you tried running it a second time? Derailing have not happened in testing, but do you have the service number of the derailed train?
