To install this scenario, you’ll need to copy the ‘Content’ folder into your Railworks folder. This is a ‘Standard’ scenario and is named “(WVC) 6S60 0840 Coedbach – Mossend.zip”

Scenario summary

It’s a fine Saturday afternoon in 1989 and today you have charge of the once weekly loaded MGR train to Mossend, near Glasgow. This service was operated by the Speedlink Coal Network and conveyed a product called ‘Anthracite Duff’ which is a left over of the washing process, on arrival at Mossend it was taken by road to a plant where it was made into Briquettes. The train was usually hauled by a member of the FQLC Cardiff Canton allocated Speedlink Coal pool of class 37/0s, which mostly at the time of this scenario retained rail blue livery. However, refurbished locos did sometimes appear. In this scenario, you will join the train at Newport and will take it through to Hereford where you’ll be relieved by another driver as booked.
