While working 1M03 from Shieldmuir to Warrington 325001 failed just north of Carlisle and has managed to limp into Platform 4. The fitters have been hard at work but 3 hours later it’s not looking good. The decision has been taken for one of the Carlisle thunderbirds to drag the unit down to Warrington complete the journey.
You’re on duty as the Carlisle Thunderbird driver and are tasked with starting up 57314, shunting over to Platform 4, coupling to 325001 and dragging the unit as far as Preston where another driver will take over. Traffic is quite heavy so as always keep an eye on the signals and there’s a TSR on the way south to contend with. Good luck!
