Standard scenarios for the ‘ATS The Great Eastern Mainline GEMMA – Phase One’ covering train 1Q97 the four weekly Network Rail Plain Line Planning Recognition train on the Great Eastern Mainline the train on a Wednesday afternoon and into the evening on the GEML portion covers Liverpool Street – Harwich Town – Chelmsford Loop – Clacton-on-Sea – Liverpool Street – Southend – Stratford – Shenfield – Liverpool Street. These scenarios are based from the pairing on May 1st 2019 (37099 & 37057).

These 6 part scenarios utilize phase one of the ATS GEML which is the mainline only, more detail on each scenario part are listed below.

Part 1: Liverpool Street to Manningtree

Beginning at Liverpool Street on platform 15 take charge of the beginning of the GEML journey for the PLPR with a run up to Manningtree. Expect to catch up to a stopper service around Chelmsford and most likely be held outside of Witham for the Braintree to London service to leave platform 4.  You have a 13 minute pathing stop in Witham Loop for the Norwich express (1P34) to pass in which you follow behind. Signal Charlie Oscar 1027 (CO1027) outside Colchester is stuck at red so press TAB to pass this signal at red, you will reminded of this upon arrival at Witham Loop. To reduce the risk of OOM errors i have included minimal static/parked AI trains at Ilford Depot & Colchester Depot.

Part 2: Manningtree to Chelmsford Loop

You’ll begin at Manningtree East Jn and will be cautioned approaching Colchester as a GA unit would be departing around then and you’ll again be cautioned approaching Witham for the same reason. As the Test Train does have pathing allowance on this leg you’ll be held outside Chelmsford Loop to time and will be routed in once train 1P44 has passed, again this is mentioned in the briefing in the scenario.

Part 3: Chelmsford Loop to Colchester

The shortest scenario in this pack with a run up to Colchester. Again it won’t be so straight forward as you will follow an Ipswich stopper from Chelmsford to Colchester so do be aware of cautionary aspects.

Part 4: Colchester to Liverpool Street

Starting at Colchester East you’ll now head back to London via Colchester Passenger Loop and Marks Tey Loop for testing purposes your also booked on the electrics from Ilford to Liverpool Street. You have a pathing stop at Witham Platform 1 for around 10 mins and are booked to follow train 1N59 out, expect to catch up to this at Chelmsford, Ingatestone and Shenfield. Signals Lima 508 (L508) after Shenfield and signal Lima 360 (L360) on the Ilford Avoider are stuck at red so press TAB to pass these at red, the respective signals are mentioned in the briefing also. Upon reaching Manor Park you’ll follow a TFL service to Liverpool Street.

Part 5: Liverpool Street to Shenfield (via the electrics)

With the mainlines now tested it is time to tests the electrics (slow lines) and with how frequent the TFL services are it is no surprise you are booked to follow one from Stratford to Shenfield! Do be extra careful as the signals on the electrics are very close together to accommodate such an intensive service. Signal Lima 413 (L413) just before Romford is stuck at red so TAB to pass this at red, again this is mentioned in the briefing.

Part 6: Shenfield to Liverpool Street (via the electrics)

The finale of this GEML adventure! It is just after 1am and not a lot is going on out there so it is expected to be a quicker run to Liverpool Street you are testing the electrics again so enjoy the AWS bell going off every few seconds! Your only booked on the electrics up till Forest Gate Jn where you will be routed onto the mains once again. Signal Lima 442 (L442) which is the platform starting signal at Romford Platform 4 is stuck at red so TAB to pass this. You’ll rock up to the desolate main portion of Liverpool Street station albeit with some stabled GA units and that will conclude this 6 part scenario!

Other notes:

The timetable used are based off the present day timetable but using the traction from 2019.

As there are no 345s for Train Sim these have been replaced with TFL 315s.

To add some form of extra realism I have added people sat on benches and some trainspotters (these just being people just standing there, lol) at stations or lineside.

It is advisable you read the briefing at the start of each scenario.

Each scenario part has been tested more than once to ensure best experience.
