2Y52 09:18 Wolverhampton to Northampton

25th July 2020 2 By The Trainspotter from Tauranga

(Here is another scenario for the WCML South V5.3 route).

It’s a cold and rainy Sunday morning in the West Midlands, and under this ‘downpour’ you’ll take charge of Class 350 No. 350237 on a stopping service from Birmingham New Street; taking over from the previous driver that brought the unit in from Wolverhampton. You will drive this unit all the way to Northampton, stopping at the following stations on the way:

Adderley Park
Lea Hall
Marston Green
Birmingham International
Tile Hill
Long Buckby

Duration – 68 minutes
Difficulty Level – Medium

Due to an unexpected issue with the signals and pathing, you will do ‘wrong line running’ between Rugby and the Daventry container terminal. Despite this, it’s still possible to make it too Northampton on time (if you run above the speed limit, that is).

This scenario requires the following DLC/third-party stuff:

Network Southeast Class 159
Portsmouth Direct Line – London Waterloo to Portsmouth
Virgin Trains Class 390 ‘Pendolino’ (discontinued)
