Background:

With the COVID-19 restrictions beginning to get lifted most of us will have seen an increase in services in all of out areas throughout the UK, none more so than in Scotland, as of the 3rd of August 90% of the timetabled services operating throughout the day with 100% of the pre-COVID timetabled services operating during the peak hours. This is where you come in, with a full peak time service this meant that the early morning services from Tweedbank to Glenrothes with Thornton were reinstated, although during the COVID timetable there was one south bound evening peak service from Glenrothes to Tweedbank but the early morning north-bound services were withdrawn leaving the people of the Borders Line with an hourly service throughout the day. Today you are operating the first early morning peak service from Tweedbank to Glenrothes with Thornton since lockdown. You will pick up the service at Newcraighall before calling at Brunstane, Edinburgh Waverley, where you will sit for a few minutes to await a path up the Fife Coast, before heading to Haymarket, South Gyle, Dalmeny, North Queensferry, Dalgety Bay, Aberdour, Burntisland, Kinghorn, Kirkcaldy and Glenrothes with Thornton. Traffic on this service is busy with a lot of services heading for Edinburgh although you shouldn’t encounter many problems during your journey.
