The Cheltenham Races are going on in..erm Cheltenham. Thousands of extra passengers are heading to Cheltenham Spa station and then onwards to the races by coach. In order to relieve pressure on timetabled services, Cross Country have added extra trains to get people there at the busiest times.
You are taking the 1Z70, 1100 Birmingham to Gloucester service calling at Cheltenham Spa and Gloucester, your traction is a 4 car Class 170 DMU which is spare between peak time services. As you are an extra service, timetabled services have priority so keep an eye on the signals. Enjoy ?
