Prior to service 1S49 departing Nottingham, the booked Class 47 failed, so these two Class 37/0 locos were quickly prepared to work the train to Glasgow Central via Sheffield, Leeds, Settle and Dumfries. This morning, you’re driving between Settle and Carlisle. Year: 1982.

    Haven’t tried this yet (away on holiday at the moment) – just a thought and speaking of underused routes – any prospect of adapting this to the Steam Workshop backdated S&C route? There seems to be very little available for a very good route and it offers a longer run from Skipton. Unfortunately scenario building is beyond me – at 71 (almost)I think I’ll stick to model building.

      My 1982 passenger and freight WTTs do cover Skipton. Next time I make a scenario on the S&C, I’ll see what I can do with the BR Blue one.
