Does this scenario work with the latest ECML Merge? I get a page of ‘Route is blocked’ errors when it loads.
I cannot guarantee that it will work, considering this was created well over a year ago. I will update the description as soon as possible to reflect this.
Excellent scenario, really liked tooting the train spotters at Grantham, nice touch! Just had to tab a red approaching Peterborough and one leaving Peterborough. There was also a spurious red between Doncaster and York, just needed tabbing. Thank you for your hard work.
So, tried it differently, green at Peterborough, so I tried tabbing and got denied, did ctrl and tab, also denied. So I waited another minute or two and got a head on collision when another train hit me head on. So not much further on really, but there’s a bit of feedback. 🙂 Thanks!
Enjoyable scenario, worked without any issues whatsoever and no needed to tab any signals at Peterborough Thanks for sharing!
I keep getting a scenario ended due to AI collision. The offending services are 1A97 and 1E24, and its always at the same spot.
Thanks for letting me know! I have run a test now to see if there is a chance of this happening, but the two offending services are always between 10-20 minutes apart, with 1A97 following 1E24. At what time does the collision happen?
Thank you for a most enjoyable drive. Having left Doncaster on time I did find myself running a minute or so late at each station stop afterwards, but thankfully wasn’t given that horrible X and scenario incomplete, as happens in an awful lot of scenarios. I would love to do a similar journey with lovely summer weather throughout. Thank you once again.
Lovely scenario, but, round trying this at a mates (I’ve not got the merge), anyway, everything kept to time, got to Peterborough, left there on time, and was immediately derailed due to points set the other way! In fact when the scenario loads up, it comes up with about 6 or 7 warning of points being set the wrong way. Any ideas? (or are we being thick, which I concede we may be!). Thanks.
That is rather strange, as I have not experienced this during any scenario on the merge. The first signal after leaving the platform at Peterborough is faulty, so you have to request to pass it at danger. Did you do that? Thanks for letting me know.
Cough cough erm cough, Might not have done, stupid green signals lying!! Thanks for letting us know. Cheers!!!
As above scenario is fantastic as far as Peterborough as I too get derailed immediately after leaving Peterborough. The signal prior to arriving into Peterobrough is not physically there in my route not sure if that is a personal problem or generic on the ECML merge, however after requesting to PSAD at Peterbough itself the signal pulls off with danger aspect and position light hence at booked time of 20:18 I proceed at which point the crossover back to the Down Main line the loco derails. Only my first attempt at this scenario so again not sure if it’s a one time personal experience or a generic thing. Will attempt another test tomorrow sometime and update here, other than that brilliant scenario up to press and looking forward to continuing up north! Thanks for the Scenario.
Hi James! I’m glad you’re liking the scenario, but I’m sorry about the issues you had! I will have a look at this myself and see if there’s any issues, even though there shouldn’t be due to the many rounds of testing. Thank you so much for letting me know!
