That sunday, engineering works along the TV route diverted all west coast traffic to the Birmingham lines. You join 1T40 at a busy Stechford for the run down to Wembley Central (arr. 13:45), and then into Wembley Sidings to prepare for tonight’s return after the dramatic 1-1 match.
