You join this HST set coming in from Craigentinny this morning for the Saturday service from Queen Street to Scarborough, from where it will serve as a cross country set over the weekend. You will oversee the journey as far as Edinburgh. In 1988, the E&G was still mostly in the hands of 47 push pull expresses and 1st gen DMUs, but sprinter units are just being introduced at Eastfield and Haymarket depots.
