2nd July 2023Hello, this is one ‘standard’ scenario for the lovely ’Midland Mainline’ route plus ‘Hope Valley’ extension which is available from Just Trains.
Length: Approximately. 65 minutes

To install, simply extract the .zip file using whichever software you have and copy the ‘Content’ folder to your RailWorks install “usually” found here:

You begin this scenario at Sheffield having just relieved one of your colleagues on 1B87, the 16:26 departure from Cleethorpes to Manchester Airport which you will now drive as far as Manchester Piccadilly before a second crew change. You have 185132 as your traction this evening and you will be making one booked station call on route at Stockport. Your journey time is planned to be just over 45 minutes but there’s always the possibility of the odd hold up so watch how you go. Is there any possibility that this could be made available for the standalone Hope Valley route? Thanks
Oliver, that’s certainly something I can look into. The only difficulty is, I don’t own that route in standalone form so I’m unsure what the Route No. is I’d need to assign the scenario folder to so that you could just drag and drop. Is it the version from Steam or Just Trains you’ve got? I’d like to think all the trackwork and markers would be the same but if they were even slightly different, it would mess up the scenario. The only other thing I can suggest, if you can, find out which Route folder is the right one on your system, and then copy the ‘Scenarios’ folder from this download (inside Content and Routes) and drop it into the correct Route folder your end. But you may not feel comfortable doing that which I understand. Regards, John.
Hi John, thanks for your reply.
Unfortunately I wasn’t notified, so hence my late reply. It’s the Just Trains stand-alone route I have, but I’ll go into edit the route and glance at what the route number is and then drop the scenario into that folder and try it. If it affects the route in anyway, I can simply reinstall it – that’s no issue.
Thanks!
An excellent scenario thank you
Thanks John, really glad you enjoyed it.
Excellent scenario as always 🙂
For once I have an improvement suggestion: you could use the “Pass” SWEP marker to strategically trigger the showers so that they don’t happen while we are in one of the two long tunnels, so as to avoid the unrealistic flashes and rain sounds while inside!
Cheers Frank, glad you enjoyed it. I must say that didn’t happen to me when I tested it. I certainly didn’t have any flashes of lightening whilst in the tunnels, but I’ll go back to that and amend it later tonight when I’m back from work so that people won’t experience that. Cheers for mentioning it.
John.
Another excellent and enjoyable drive John. Thank you. Regards, Barrie.
Thank you very much Barrie, delighted you enjoyed it and appreciate your feedback as always. Regards, John.
