Description

 

Following on from the first pack, this pack is mostly set closer to the present in the mid-2010s, focusing on out-of-course working.

 

Contained are seven scenarios, utilising the WCML Missing Link route between Stafford in the south to Liverpool and Preston in the north, offering six hours of drivetime!

 

The scenarios included in the pack are below:

1F16 1207 Euston to Liverpool South Parkway

Liverpool Lime Street is currently closed for remodelling work, so trains from London are terminating at South Parkway. Starting at Stafford, you’ll be finishing a northbound express to Liverpool South Parkway. Year: 2018.

 

1F20 1607 Euston to Liverpool Lime Street

Due to points failure at Weaver Jn, the line has been closed whilst the issue is rectified. Keep an eye on adverse signals whilst finishing your heavily delayed express service to Liverpool. Year: 2014.

 

1G00 0459 Crewe to Birmingham New Street

In order to keep up drivers’ route knowledge, there was one service per day running from Crewe to Birmingham via Stafford. Take your train off the carriage sidings at Crewe before driving this early-morning service to Birmingham. Year: 2018.

 

2F61 0726 Preston to Liverpool Lime Street

This morning, you’ll be driving a peak-time commuter service from Preston to Wigan with a unit recently transferred from Wales. Year: 2005.

 

5N09 0930 Ilford EMUD to Carlisle

Being a long away from home, you’ll be driving an empty stock move between Stafford and Preston on the way to having the unit being refurbished in Scotland. Year: 2018.

 

5Z54 0930 Crewe IEMD to Toton

This morning, you’ll be dragging a dead Class 325 unit as far as Stoke so another driver can take over to Toton. Year: 2015.

 

6F47 1819 Springs Branch to Arpley Yard

After starting your locomotive from cold, shunt together a short wagon trip working in Springs Branch sidings before delivering them to Arpley Yard. Year: 2009.
