Description
The Chat Moss line linking Liverpool with Manchester, opened in 1830 and was the world’s first inter-city passenger railway. To the present day, it follows the original George Stephenson route of 32 miles. Electrified in 2015, the line is a fine example of modern railway operation and technology blended within a historical setting.
After electrification, many local passenger services operated by Northern Rail where placed in the hands of Class 319 EMU sets, drafted in from Thameslink and these remained in operation until the last were finally withdrawn in January 2024. This pack contains five scenarios for the ATS Chat Moss route and Armstrong Powerhouse Class 319, covering operations in the spring of 2020 – adding over five and a half hours of driving time to the sim.
