WCML Trent Valley Signal EP Patch
25th May 2023Have you driven down the WCML Trent Valley Recently and thought damn these signals need the AP Signal EP… no? don’t blame you I don’t drive WCMLTV either but for some reason I made this patch for it anyway
So I present the WCML Trent Valley Signal EP Patch which adds the AP SEP functionality to the Colour Light signals included with WCML Trent Valley.
Requirements
Train Simulator: WCML Trent Valley Route Add-On
Armstrong Powerhouse: Signal Enhancement Pack
Thank you for doing this, looks great, any chance of doing the original version of North Wales Coastal?
Hasn’t quite worked for me. It’s also making all lights on all signals glow all the time…
have you run the batch file
Yeah, it runs through and goes green. Looking back at it though, the first half of the files copy over ok, but starting from of the ECMLS files and the rest to the end of the programme, it says that 0 files were copied and that Access is denied. These files do exist under the correct file paths. One of the AP bin files also cannot be found in the chosen folder [ theatre-lit.bin. ].
theatre-lit.bin was only added in the latest update which was released on the 26/5/23, as for the rest i don’t know why your getting issues with files being denied, the batch file was set up based on how the SEP installed on my install and has worked fine on the multiple times I’ve tested it.
as no one else thus far has reported any similar issues it implies to me that the issue is most likely with your install specifically.
It hasn’t worked for me.Same issues as Harvey.
i have made some edits to the batch file which in theory should fix the issues described, please try redownloading the patch and installing it again
Cheers, all works fine now.
Thanks for this but I’d thought this route was included? Or was I seeing things!
it isn’t, Thomson Interactives EULA expressly prohibits most forms of Payware additions/Edits to their routes which is what the SEP falls under
i heard from an old video that Alan did that there were plans for ATS to make their own version of Trent Valley. this was a while ago so im unsure as to whether it will happen or not, but i hope it does so that we can get the proper full WCML in their merge from London-Glasgow/Edinburgh via Birmingham/Nuneaton
i believe we still have an intention to make a new WCMLTV at some point but its very far down the list
