Touches clavier SimExpress pour le TGV 2N2 (This has more manageble keyboard controls which I’ve used as a base and the manual for reference)

This patch simply alters the controls in order to work with QWERTY keyboards.

The key positioning themselves remain virtually unchanged but have been swapped round to match with where they should be on an english keyboard.

I’ve also swapped the key for the acknowledge button and coupler hatch so that the aknowledge button is ‘Q’ and coupler is NumPad_Enter rather than the other way round.

How to use (Plain English Tutorial):

Start up the train:

Press B to unlock the Boite à Levier and activate the cab

Use the mouse to select the correct pantograph (=F or ~GV most likely)

Press Y to activate the circuit breaker (Disjoncteur)

Wait for the screens to initialise

Press and hold U to arm to circuit breaker (Réarmement

Disjoncteur)

Don’t forget to set the STM via the DMI (left screen marked ’26’ in the manual where speedometer should now be showing) and use the buttons next to the screen to initialise: (F4 > Wait for screen to load > then F1).

..then do a quick test:

Press W, does the reverser move forwards?

Press S, does the reverser move backwards?

Good! You can leave it in forwards.

Press E, does the driving mode selecter move into ‘T’ (this is also essential for getting on the move) you can also twist using the mouse and use it to set speed control if desired

Release the brakes by holding ; (semi-colon) you must keep holding it until they release fully

To apply hold down ‘ (apostrophe) and let go once you have the desired braking force.

Use A, D to ensure the power-brake lever is working as desired.

aaand you’re ready to move off!

Hold down space to prevent VACMA from going off, release when the bell does go off and then continue pressing down (treat the spacebar like a driver-vigilance pedal)

or use CTRL + K to disable VACMA entirely.
