Hi Simon
Enjoying the scenario, but when I leave Glasgow the game ends & I get the message:
AI driver SS Glasgow P8 – to Queens Park has left path at longitude 4.25912, Latitude 55.85496.
Hi Mick.
Ok this is a new one. Just wondering if you are running the scenario from a save? Reason I ask is that Ai in and out of Glasgow is pretty intense. I wouldn´t be surprised if a load up from a save might cause a bit of an issue. Can you confirm?
Thanks,
Simon
Hi Simon
That makes sense mate as I did save on arrival at Glasgow. Am running scenario again as we speak. Will skip saving at Glasgow & let you know if that works.
Mick
Hi again Simon.
Thanks for the tip. Departure from Glasgow worked fine (without saving on arrival).
Cheers
Mick
Hi mate, I get the same. I set up, then get double yellow in the tunnel as I come into the station I get a red and de rail. The line to the right of me has a double yellow
Hi. I think that possibly you’re jumping the signals before they fully change. Try not moving until the signal in front of you shows green and then proceed into the platform. Also do you need to set up the HST as that should already be done for you?
Please let me know how you get on
Cheers
Simon
Ill have another go tomorrow. I had to set it up mate, even the engine turned its self off. I had to restart the engine, set lights etc.
Very odd. I´ve never ever known the HST to be engine off at the start of a scenario in fact without additional third party scripting I would doubt it is not achievable. Anyway so I have re-run the scenario this morning and on my system all is ok. Basically it should be wait for the signal in front of you to turn green and then proceed into the platform. The total wait time is approx 1 minute and 30 seconds. Please let me know how you go.
Thanks
Simon
Hi Simon. Still the same mate. I redownloaded as well. The blocker loco moves into the loop, I sat at the double yellows ( in the tunnel ) for 10 minutes. When I looked into the scenario editor in game, there’s no instructions for the blocker to move after the loop. Not sure if this is correct or not.
Hi there.
Ok the problem seems to be that your set up has a problem with the “rolling start” feature of the scenario as I have 1 other user that has the same issue. Upon going into the scenario editor and removing the rolling start the scenario ran without fault. Are you able to do that or do you need assistance?
Kind regards
Simon
Hi, mate, really sorry to mess you about. Need assistance if you don’t mind mate.
Sorry for slow response. I live overseas so our time difference is getting a little bit in the way.
Are you a member of the Alan Thomson Sim Facebook group? If you are if you can find me on there, my name is Simon Schofield, I will be able to talk you through it at an appropriate time.
Many thanks
Simon
I got as far as approaching Glasgow, no problems. I intend continuing on tomorrow.
Great scenario so far.
Great. I hope that you enjoy the rest of the scenario. Thank you for your positive feedback
Hi Simon, Have driven to Oxenholme so far, problem free. Got all green signals through Carstairs too. Might I ask – In the scenario did you use the EPS speeds, as I was sticking to the none EPS speeds and did struggle with the timings a little?.
Hi Benelena.
Just goes to show that all PC´s are different as I got reds all through Carstairs and figured that I would use this to create the signal failure. Strange that you got greens!
The timings are taken from the correct working timetable of the period so the timings were set well before the EPS speeds were created. I assume that HST timings were taken into consideration.
So how are you enjoying the scenario thus far?
Hi Simon, a superb scenario, looking forward to finishing to Preston tomorrow, then for part 2. Must admit that I personally think the fitting of buffers to the HST power cars really spoiled their attractive looks. The scenario is a credit to you, and thank you so much for sharing. I wouldn’t have a clue in creating a scenario.
Thank you for your feedback. I am glad that you enjoyed it. Enjoy part 2
Hi HST kept derailing coming into the platform at Edinburgh any ideas
Hi Michael. I´m sorry to hear that you are having a problem. Can you confirm that the signals clear to allow you to proceed into the platform. You should get clearance to proceed right through platform 7 and then you need to stop at platform 11 which comes just a little bit further along the line.
Good luck,
Simon
Hi Simon one of the GPS signals was red after leaving the tunnel on 2 yellows and i found the invisible blocker loco was ocupying the route
cheers
michael
Hi Michael.
Yes that is as intended but it moves out of the way to allow you access to the platforms. It moves away 1 minute into the scenario which then gives you the road. Is this happening for you?
Many thanks
Simon
hi simon
unfortunatley the blocker dosent move blocking the route stood 10mins all other trains were moving cheers
michael
Hi Michael.
I am sorry that you are having problems. I have tried to replicate your issue and quite simply I can´t. What should happen is the blocker is sat in front of you but after 1 minute starts to move out of the way. This clears the signal in front of you to double yellow. The points then change to allow the player into the platform road and that´s when the signal in front of you changes to green. The total wait time for you is approx 1 minute and 30 seconds. Please can you run it through again and let me know what happens.
Many thanks
Simon
