Welcome to match day at Cardiff. Due to the large crowds heading to the Millenium Stadium,
Arriva Trains Wales have put on an additional shuttle service between Cardiff and Newport using
the stock off from the loco hauled Rhymney service. BR Large Logo blue 37425 is doing the
honours on the Newport end of the Mk2 set with 50049 on the Cardiff end. Set-up your train in
Canton depot and head out towards Cardiff and then Newport where you have a 15 turn-round
before returning to Cardiff. Passenger and freight traffic is very heavy this morning.
