On the 18th August 2026, the iconic Badger, 89001, returned to mainline service. Unfortunately, things didn’t go to plan and it failed at Warrington. You start by driving 90001 from Crewe to Warrington as 1Z99, where you couple to the failed train and take it through to Preston as 1Z47.
