Brief: Littlehampton was promised a direct connection to Bedford as part of the ambitious Thameslink Programme. This eventually materialised in the form of a single train per day in each direction between Littlehampton and Bedford. However, this service proved to be extremely unreliable, often cancelled on more days than it actually ran. It was curtailed at London Bridge before being later scrapped altogether; another victim of the Thameslink Programme’s overconfidence.

Drive 9N93 all the way to Littlehampton; calling at Flitwick, Luton, Luton Airport Parkway, Harpenden, St Albans, St Pancras International, Farringdon, City Thameslink, London Blackfriars, London Bridge, East Croydon, Three Bridges, Haywards Heath, Preston Park, Hove, Portslade, Shoreham-by-Sea, Lancing, Worthing, West Worthing, Durrington-on-Sea, Goring-by-Sea and Angmering.
