Brief: The 2026 May Bank Holiday is shaping up to be the hottest Bank Holiday on record with temperatures forecasted to hit 35C in London and other parts of the South East. You’re rostered to drive 9M53 all the way to London; calling at Carlisle, Penrith, Oxenholme, Lancaster, Preston, Wigan North Western, Warrington Bank Quay, Crewe, Stafford, Wolverhampton, Sandwell & Dudley, Birmingham New Street, Birmingham International and Coventry.
In addition to the heatwave, this weekend sees Birmingham Pride kicking off with just shy of 100,000 people expected to take to the streets; many travelling in by train. LNWR have co-ordinated industrial action for the event and are running a skeleton service on all routes. Expect overcrowding, heat related speed restrictions and a host of other delays to impact your journey.

Hi Shaun do you know which trains were involved? There was an AI collision at Carlisle that I patched and the scenario ran smoothly afterwards.
it involved the freight train at carlisle i think. it happened when i was waiting at the red light outside carlisle

struggling to find the specific Northern 150/1 NORTHERN (NL) reskin… what did you use?
fixed it by downloading the MJW 150/0 northern however derailment just outside Carlisle with the freight train sitting there and 1S45(?)
Was it 1S45 or 1S42? 1S45 won’t depart Oxenholme until well after you’ve left Carlisle. I’m issuing a patch to remove the freight train anyway.
ots time of day says: there was a error selecting the scenario. cannot access local variable ‘dusk’ where it is not associated with a value. if you have any idea what that means mate?
It’s a bug with the scenario. I decided not to submit it for a fix because the sky colour wouldn’t be too different if it worked.

There is no way we released the exact same service at the same time haha, I’ve also made 9M53 as it was on the 28th of December 2025. I’ll have to also give your scenario a go!

number of delays, cancellations and service revisions on mine.
Yea its a full run, and the exact same Headcode! Mine is set on the 18th of December 2025, and its different to yours in the aspect of it being on different routes, having announcements and having different AI services. 🙂
