Brief: LNER launched direct services between Middlesbrough and the capital in December 2021. Initially running non-stop from York to London, the new 2025 timetable saw turned this working into an extension of the two-hourly York to London semi fasts.

Drive 1Y81 all the way to London; calling at Thornaby, York, Doncaster, Retford and Peterborough.
