Brief: CrossCountry extends a handful of services every day to Paignton, serving the resort towns along the Riviera. Drive 1M61 as far as Kidsgrove on a sunny April afternoon; calling at Torquay, Teignmouth, Dawlish, Exeter St Davids, Tiverton Parkway, Taunton, Weston-super-Mare, Bristol Temple Meads, Bristol Parkway, Cheltenham Spa, Birmingham New Street, Wolverhampton, Stafford, Wolverhampton and Stoke-on-Trent.

Despite your standing as a long distance express, you’re treated as a reduced priority by the timetable. Expect long waits at principal stations for faster services to pass. This will also be your first trip down the Camp Hill Line since the reintroduction of passenger trains.
